Description
The use of unconventional folds lead to dynamism and growth in this farm brochure which was produced to promote local organic farming at Casey Farm. Consideration was made on how the piece would work both folded and flat. With this kind of fold, it can be viewed like flipping pages or pulled out and viewed all together, so it needed to work on both levels. The pages increase in size based on the growing season with the strip of color on the edges of the pages representing the ripening process. Tracing paper was used over the page layouts of text to hand draw the tomato vine which was then scanned in and represented digitally but yet the handmade organic feel was kept in the final composition. As always, consult a printer early on in your process when exploring unconventional formats and sizes. This piece had to be assembled by gluing folds due to its length and double sided printing.
